I am passionate about public service and welcome the opportunities that change presents to improve front-line delivery.

Martin has 30 years of experience working within health and social care sectors. He is proud to be a qualified social worker and best interests assessor with specialist forensic mental health and Mental Capacity Act experience. He currently manages an integrated CMHT in Cardiff, returning to his frontline roots and his passion for direct delivery of services to the public. He also undertakes specialist independent mental health tribunal reports.

He has an extensive record of providing training to frontline staff, being a regular trainer on the South Wales AMHP consortium as well as a popular conference speaker and in-house trainer on troubled young people, mental health law, the Mental Capacity Act and risk assessment and its management.

Martin is an inspirational trainer of front-line staff, being able to communicate his own enthusiasm for his subject into a broader understanding and direct practical applications for staff.
