Supporting improvement in social care, health and public services

Expertise

  • Safeguarding and looked after children quality assurance
  • Facilitation of training
I am passionately committed to representing the voice of the child and making a positive impact on the lives of children, young people and their families. I believe in the future of all children, strongly driving forward the agenda that an open door policy to a quality and safe life is a universal right. I believe that a child’s early years are the most influential in shaping their future. I believe that all parents deserve the right to access the help and support required during those crucial years.

I have worked in children’s services for 15 years after successfully qualifying as a social worker and gaining a Master’s degree at Swansea University. I have worked at an operational and strategic level in local authorities within South Wales. In 2013, after much thought, I left local authority work to embark on a new journey where I was able to return to my love of frontline social work with children, young people and their families. I am the company director of a safeguarding organisation now offering a range of consultancy services to local authorities, voluntary organisations and children’s safeguarding boards.
