Supporting the next generation of business graduates
Practice Solutions is proud to be a part of Network75, a combined work placement and part-time study scheme from University of South Wales. Students are able to gain real-world experience while studying for their degree over five years.
As part of the scheme, three apprenticeships have joined the core team: Eloise Richards in Marketing, Josh Gough in Business Development, and Holly Lewis in HR. They work with PSL three days a week and study at USW for the other two days.
It’s been wonderful to welcome all three, helping us to grow as a team while supporting their career development. Here’s what they said about their experience so far:
Eloise Richards – Marketing Apprentice
I first learned about the Network75 programme through friends and it felt like I had stumbled upon a hidden treasure – a marketing apprenticeship that allowed me to combine academic learning and hands-on experience. Just what I needed to kickstart my career!
At Practice Solutions, I saw a company where my contributions could truly matter. It wasn’t about getting lost in the shuffle of a large corporate structure; it was about having a seat at the table and a voice that could be heard.
One of the highlights of my apprenticeship so far has been my participation in planning the Shared Minds Dinner. I had the opportunity to showcase my creative flair by designing visually captivating invitations for the event, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I attended at the NHS Confed conference, as well as the National Social Care Conference in Llandudno. Here, I helped create engaging social media content for Practice Solutions on platforms like LinkedIn and Twitter.
Josh Gough – Business Development Apprentice
I chose to do my degree through Network75 because it allowed me to gain as much experience as possible, leading to be becoming a more versatile student. I wanted to join Practice Solutions because of their great reputation and their working environment.
In my first two weeks at Practice Solutions, I attended the NHS Confed Conference. I got to network with lots of different people in the healthcare industry and had the privilege of listening to some remarkable speeches. I really enjoyed my first conference and I’m excited to attend more.
Since joining, I have already started to develop my skills and acquired new abilities like teamwork and communication. I know that by the time I have completed my apprenticeship, I will have every skill necessary for Business Development and will have shared great memories with the Practice Solutions team.
Holly Lewis – HR Apprentice
I was introduced to the Network75 scheme by my tutor at college after I said I wasn’t interested in studying at university alone. I interviewed at a few companies, but I decided to work with Practice Solutions as I felt there was a great opportunity to thrive within their organisation.
In my role, I have been researching different policies and employment laws, and applying these to conduct formal letters to employees. I have also joined the Health and Wellbeing group, where we brainstorm ideas to make our organisation as productive as possible.
I have enjoyed working with Practice Solutions so far and being introduced to how the organisation works effectively. I am excited to start my degree at university so I can apply the knowledge learned there to my work at Practice Solutions.
