Developing Healthy Organisations re-launch (DHO)- “let’s get on the same page”

Listen in the player below:

Description-

On this episode of joining the dots we delve into the difficulties organisations are facing in the public, private and third sector and how the re-launch of our Developing Healthy Organisations (DHO) programme aims to help leaders navigate these difficulties in an ever-changing environment. Lewis Gwyther (marketing and business development lead for Practice Solutions) leads the conversation with Heather Anstey- Myers, Glenda george  and Neil prior as they explore the important topics that affect our workforce today.

How do we create space and time for this in a busy world? Do public and private sectors face the same challenges? How can your organisation benefit from DHO?  This relevant, multi-perspective conversation is a must listen.

Lewis Gwyther

Marketing and Business Development Lead

I have over 10 years’ experience in Marketing, Communications and Business Development from across sectors. I have a wide-ranging portfolio career which has enabled me to take learning across sectors to deliver best practice and high level strategic insight. I worked for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service on communications and engagement, setting up a Public Service Body engagement subcommittee. I have secured National Lottery Heritage Funding for a venue in Mid-Wales of £250,000+. I am experienced in writing and developing marketing, communication and fundraising strategies, business plan writing and business development. I am also Vice-chair for the charitable organisation Community Music Wales.

Glenda George

I have 19 years of HR experience working in both the public and private sectors. During this time, I have been involved in developing and implementing a range of strategic HR initiatives from change management, culture and transformational change, coaching and mentoring, performance management, talent and career development, TUPE, project management and complex employee relations. My key skills are relationship management, communication, influencing and ensuring that solutions are business and outcome-focused. I am a chartered member of the Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) and am qualified in Occupational Psychometrics.

Neil Prior

Associate at Practice Solutions

I have been working with local government since 2010 when I led O2’s Local Government Futures Forum (LGFF) designed to help councils maximise the benefits of technology.  This achieved a response from 10% of Great Britain’s local authorities and featured in The Guardian’s top innovations in the sector in 2013, and convinced me that an insight- based approach is the secret to innovation and transformation.

I have built a portfolio approach to my work, my main role of which is being an Independent Councillor at Pembrokeshire County Council. My professional career has seen me working predominately with public sector clients for organisations such as O2, Microsoft and Northgate Public Services, as well as consulting with niche businesses working within the local government space. I have a strong customer service ethos, with experience of creating and managing high-performing teams. I am an experienced facilitator and coach, able to utilise a range of thought-provoking and practical materials, and am in my element delivering tailored strategy and leadership development programmes that will accelerate the progress of the individuals and teams attempting to lead change in local government.
