Innovation Hour: Where I Want To Live

Practice Solutions has been supporting the development of innovative solutions for social care for almost 25 years and these developments continue to put the needs of the person first. Our Innovation Hour is designed to connect you with people who are passionate about driving innovative solutions to the challenges of delivering health and social care.

Our spring season of Innovation Hours starts with ‘Where I Want To Live‘, an innovative toolkit that empowers young people with learning disabilities to discuss, share and plan where and how they live.

Their digital resources and tools educate young people aged 14-35 and their support networks about future living options so positive social change takes place, with choice and control becoming a reality instead of a tagline.

Where I Want To Live was founded by Roberto Morelli after his daughter Alessandra finished full-time education. She was keen to move out of the family home and live a more independent life, but Roberto was unsure what options there were for people with learning disabilities. Together with Louise Keevil, a SEND specialist consultant, the two created a toolkit that allowed allowed young adults and families to make informed choices and where and how they live.
